About this course
This is an online, self-paced, standalone microcredential course on Patient Medication Counseling that aims to provide a learning opportunity for members of the pharmacy workforce across various practice settings to improve their capacity to conduct effective patient medication counseling.
The course was developed in recognition of patient counseling as an integral aspect of pharmaceutical care—a key responsibility as pharmacy practice moves toward more patient-centered care and optimized health outcomes. It follows an outcomes-based approach: teaching-learning strategies include lectures and case exercises, and assessment includes post-module quizzes and a patient counseling workshop.
